I was diagnosed with an Inflammatory Bowel Disease at the age of 9 - a medical rarity at the time. Unfortunately, these types of disease in the very young is no longer very unusual. Therefore, I have been through the spectrum of emotion that comes with a chronic illness. I have been hospitalised, medicalised, traumatised and dis-engaged with my body. This has shaped the way I view my clients. I don't judge or shame. I have particular specialism in the spectrum of digestive disorders and children's health, particularly those with SEN.
Lucy trained at the well-respected College of Naturopathic Medicine in London where she gained a diploma in naturopathic nutrition.
What is naturopathy?
Naturopathic nutrition is a holistic therapy that treats everyone as an individual, taking into account the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being of the whole person when assessing health problems. It seeks to address biochemical imbalances in the body by creating optimal conditions to enhance the body’s natural healing power through diet, lifestyle and possibly supplementation.
Your consultation will be treated with the utmost confidentiality, and I am happy to write to a GP or other medical practitioner if you require that service. I am used to analysing blood results, interpreting medical jargon and test results and making referrals back to the medics when the need arises.
If you are already under the care of a physician, I will happily work alongside them to help you achieve wellness through nutrition.
